For the beginner, we start with shifting, turning and backing on grid roads. Shortly thereafter, we move to shifting on city streets with low traffic density.  We train an introduction to log books and of course, thorough circle checks and pre-trip air. As your abilities improve, you will be consistently challenged. We challenge you by introducing skills that are just beyond your present abilities. This would include higher traffic areas, tighter corners and hill navigation. Eventually, we bring all aspects together to ensure that SGI requirements are not only met, but exceeded.

We are also in the process of developing an industry related course that allows drivers to improve their skills in docking and blindside backing, shifting, hills, fifth wheel and axle sliding for weight distribution, and other actual job related scenarios. These courses will include an additional week of advanced training with MAXIMUM, followed by three weeks of on the job training with experienced drivers. Drivers, who have left the industry or have taken time off, often require refresher courses, and the advanced program is an excellent program to get you started again. So after you achieve your 1A license, an additional 1-4 weeks are available to you with the advanced program, and/ or the on the job training.

At Maximum Training we realize everyone learns at a different level. In order to accommodate you we have developed the following in-depth programs. We are also the only private or government owned company that lists its prices in public, I.e. Web Site and Pamphlets.

When comparing prices with our competitors, be sure to understand the actual driving hours versus training hours, days of training, and how many tests are provided and if there are additional fees or costs. In the event you choose to take additional training what are those costs. For example; is one week 5 days or 7 days? Ours is 7 days.
