This letter is for driver training with Maximum Training. 
Kirk Lang and myself graduated from their one week class 
1A program. With very little experience, we were 
transformed into qualified operators.

Maximum Training staff are patient, knowlageable, fun and 
professional. We were fortunate to have three different 
instructors. Their vehicles are modern, safe, clean and 
properly maintained.

Backpacking Australia is where my class 1A came in handy.  
I drove a courtesy bus for a hostel as well as a 3 ton for 
a construction company.  The course has put money in my

switching from driving on the right side to the left side 
of the line an easy transition.  My "Maximum Training" 
gave me the skills, attitude, and confidence to drive 
internationally.  Without my class 1A my Australian 
experience would have been completely different.  I've had 
the time of my life and owe a large part of it Maximum

I have been meaning to send you short note on your 
training service. We here at Kumtor are in an unusual 
position in that we hire local people to drive north 
american equipment specifically Mack trucks. I only hire 
drivers with 5 years tractor trailer and high altitude 
experience. Our main base here in Balykchy is at 1640 
meters and the mine site is at 4,000 meters, with two 
major mountain passes in between including 32 switch backs 
and a rise in elevation of 1500 meters in the distance of 
14 km of road. I have seen a lot of interesting roads in 
north america including several trips to the north slope 
of Alaska but never anything like the road my drivers 
negotiate every day. For many years we had very little 
driver turn over but in the last several years it has 
increased due to several reasons, one of which is the 
older drivers are becoming medically unfit to go to the 
high altitude. In order to re supply our driver fleet and 
to raise the level of competence of our existing drivers 
it was decided that we should look for outside help. The 
first year was an experiment to see how effective North 
American trainers would be in making a noticeable 
difference in the habits of our drivers. We were very 
impressed with the result not only from a safety point of 
view but maintenance as well felt there is a noticable 
reduction especially in clutch and transmission problems. 

Maximum Training has raised the bar of what I expect from 
a trainer in the future. Their performance was outstanding 
in every way. I feel I got more honest evaluations of the 
drivers than in the past. I think the drivers got more 
actual instruction and critique on their driving habits 
and or lack of previous training in certain areas. As well 
Troy's ability to use the computer left us with a data 
base to continue with and build on. On a personal note, 
Troy conducted himself in a very professional manner and 
his behavior  away from the office was without reproach. I 
look forward to our continued association with Maximum 
Training and hopefully Troy as well!!

Saturday the 6th of January and here I am on Friday the 
19th of January with my class 1A licence. I had never been 
behind the wheel of a tractor/trailer unit before and was 
initially a little anxious to say the least. Professional, 
knowledgeable, constructive and patient are words that 
readily spring to mind when I think of the trainers at 
Maximum Training. I am grateful to Tony, Troy, Wayne, Gary 
and Brian. They made training at Maximum pleasurable and

My experience with Maximum Training was second to none.  
The staff are very accommodating – their flexible hours 
and willingness to work with me allowed me to schedule my 
driver training and exam writing so that I could stay at 
my full time job while getting my 1A license.  The driver 
trainers are very knowledgeable and experienced – they 
made me feel relaxed while getting the information, 
experience, and tools that I needed.  I was able to train 
with new equipment. I felt that Maximum Training wanted me

I have to start off by saying that I have nothing but good 
things to say about my time training with Maximum.  The 
guys there are super friendly and it was really fun to 
spend the days with them while learning to drive.  I spent 
most of my time with Tony, and the rest with Paul and 
Wayne, but if they represent the other guys who work 
there, then they're awesome too!  I feel that I have been 
trained extremely well and that I have not only learned to 
drive a truck, but that I am a better driver all around 
for it!  The course is designed not only to teach you to 
operate a tractor/trailer unit, but to build your 
confidence all around at the same time.  The trainers are 
really calm and laid back, which makes it easy to learn 
new things, and they have a good feel for when a guy is 
ready for the next step.  I'm in University and they made 
it really easy to train around my school schedule.  Earl 
and Tony went especially out of their way to help 
accommodate me and to make it possible to get my license!
